A great deal of information is missing, because the creators of sonic CAN'T SEEM TO FCKING FINISH A SERIES, and so most of what happens in between is lost, I'm not saying this is for sure, but the explanation makes sense given the facts we have. If you have any info, post.

Then sonic would have had his 3 kids, Sonic, Sonia, and Manic, Who fight Gerald, and after winning, grow up. Sonic meeting tails is shown in a flashback in sonic x, where, in the first episode, they are fighting Eggman, and they already know knuckles, who they meet in sonic underground episode 19, and knuckles is also younger in underground and older in x. Where Manic and Sonia are in sonic x? Don't know, as for where tails is in underground.

@sallyacorn198 It's not that he's a different age by design, it's actually a different point on the timeline, In The adventures of sonic the hedgehog, he fought against Dr Ivo Robotnik, In sonic underground, he's a kid fighting against Dr Gerald Robotnik, Ivo's son, and in Sonic X, He's older, and fighting against Gerald's son, Dr. Eggman. For it to make sense, I assume if they had finished the original series, Sonic would have defeated Ivo, and become king of Mobius, married queen Aleena.
