At the time this was taken we were at about 11.8 to one. We have since stepped up from the 871 to a high helix 1471 blower and are putting together the same motor bored to 540 cid with about 12.1 to one. We have run more than 12.2 in the past and had problems with detonation although our 60 foot times were better.

is it a punched or bored engine? because Ford made the 534..

@killrshadow Every part in or on the motor is aftermarket including the dart block. 534 was just the final displacement that resulted from the parts that went in to the bore and stroke combination we ended up with.

Like to thank Gary Sellin for safely taking us up 250 horse power from our previous base line. Now the only hard part will be keeping it pointed the right way. Yee haw
