i have all my magazines from the 60's up to 84 and what i have read, now i can see on youtube. and i have mags with jos when he first started and with the fresh face and no cuts.and then you look through the magazines through the years and the memories, wishing time can reverse itself just to get some great wrestling, anyway jos was a beast his strengh was something to behold. great time for great wrestlers.
@jdbankshot Thanks for the kind words, mon ami! I remember Jos' feuds from reading about them in the wrestling mags in the '70s. That Montreal promotion always had some great workers and great matches. I got to see the late Carpentier fight longtime Florida heel Bobby Shane at the Boston Garden back in 1973 in a rare double guest shot. People were disappointed that Shane didn't bring his wife/valet Miss Sherri with him; she was one smokin' hot redhead! Cheers!
@elc1960 ciboire, you know your shit!!! i'm from montreal, grew up watching lutte internationale, promoted by frank valois, play-by-play done by the great flying frenchman edouard carpentier. jos was a regular along with bravo, martel, the rougeaus, andre, abby, sailor white, billy robinson, pat patterson, maddog vachon, etc... nice to read a post from an informed & articulate person. jos was also great in memphis... legit fkd up lawler, unintentionally of course... vive le lumberjack !!!
Wrestling from Florida was the greastest promotion in the 70"s Dusty Rhodes is he pioneer of Professional Wrestling. Defeating Dusty Rhodes was like winning the NWA Champoinchip World belt. Every wrestler wanted to prove they were worthy by beating him
The late Jos LeDuc worked for WWWF in the late 1960s as a midcard babyface (nice to see that you spelled his first name right - so few people ever did). They bought Jos back in when Backlund was champ, but he wasn't there long. He worked in Montreal with his "kayfabe" brother Paul (whose real last name actually was LeDuc; Jos' real name was Michel Pigeon).
You are now my favorite channel, I love these videos !! I'm only 25 so sadly I wasn't born back then, I'm sure it was great to see wrestling events live back then. Jos Leduc was a great Heel.

Great clip. I remember this as it happened back in '79.
That was a chain match though NOT a bullrope match between LeDuc and Dusty.
