  • People...a full squat and a full pushup are not the only way to do a burpee. This way is used for high rep workouts where using full squats and pushups would slow you down and keep you from finishing due to muscular fatigue rather than cardiovascular fatigue. Beautiful burpees.

  • @kermaleivos No, only when I say so and even then you should ask how high first

  • Yes, I think you got it right. Although I disagree with landing with your knees just slightly bent. The guy in this video does his movement so fast that, it hardly seems to work his quads when he lands. But I think it's a good idea to land with a mid-squat, and not a full squat, instead of 'bouncing' like this guy. Check this video out starting at 0:50 ---> /watch?v=znC7VBXuw9k. You might get a better idea of what i'm talking about.

  • @Juilkca land on squat?

just being honest here, will that help? because every "burpee" video i saw(mind, most of them are just squat thrusts) almost everyone land with just their knees slightly bend, not to a full squat.

help will be very much appreciated.. :), just started strength training(the only training i've ever done) for about 6months

  • @fanthor As you come down from the vertical jump, you want to land in a 'squat' position to get your quads working as well. In this video, he just lands with his legs straight and proceeds to 'bounce' to a push-up position. His legs seem pretty toned and muscular so perhaps does separate leg workouts, but if you want the full benefit of a burpee, it's good to land in a squat position, to get those quads working. But make to land properly in a controlled manner so your lower back is not strained.

  • @Juilkca hey

what do you mean by squats? i understand how he did "not" do a pushup, but every video i saw about a burpee, its the same all over except some jump with knee to the chest

  • Straight to the point! Thanx :)

  • @qjester99 That's what I thought. His technique eliminates the squat as well as most of the pushups. He basically lets gravity do the work.

  • He has horrible burpee form
