this is my baby.it's AMD manila sempron 3200+ socket AM2 with Fan box,Mobo Biostar Nforce 6100&Tforce 410 intergrated Geforce 6100,DDRAM II bus 667 512Mb,HDD SAMSUNG SATA 80Gb,PSU 420W,Case Golden Field
Best bang for your buck these days, is the nvidia geforce 8600 gts 512, they have a very decent core clock, if you wanna spurg a little get 2 of them and run them at sli, witch is just as good, maybe slightly better then the 8800 ultra. 8600gts retails for 149.99 so if you have a board that suports sli, i would go that way, as for ati, best bang for your buck is the 3850, almost as quick as the 8370, but it dosen't have the 200 dollar price tag.
if someones going to get a new vid gfx card id recommend a 9800GX2 1GB PCI-e 2.0, they range today n ebay around $540us + shipping. they are upto %50 faster than the 8800 Ultra and not to mention they are alot cheaper for being the fastest cards out from when the 8800 ultra was out. the 8800 ultra was $700+ and now the 9800GX2 being alot faster is even cheaper.
Id recommend the AMD X2 6400+ Black Edition, (multiplyer unlocked)
I had the smae cpu as you the amd x2 6000+ , 3GB ddr2 800 dual channel, physX card, raid 0 setup, 8800GTS 640 vid card. and some other stuff. i had that when they came out and damn it was pricey, now its a joke in price.
i got asrock am2 socket.
plus 7100 gs & 1.5 ram.
i pity myself ^_^

wouldve been better if u'd gone with an Athlon 64 or Athlon 64 X2, and a dedicated GPU such as a HD 2400XT or 6600GT
