How did the parents get a loan in the first place, they are not legal citizens of this country? Second if their was a mistake pay the mortgage, then fight the mistake... if you can't pay for the house you must move. If I don't pay my electric bill, phone bill or gas bill it's turned off. The big problem here is people take on too much debt and live close to the edge.

First rule in life, expect the unexpected.If you don't have a few months income in saving available AFTER you purchase the house then its playing with fire. They didn't have the money to pay 1 weeks mortgage and late fees, that's what $500?

I think the "bank glitch" part of the story is there side. I would like to hear the banks side before taking sides. This smells of a story where there is more too it.

So although everyone would like to see documentation, usually especially me, I think that in this case the general public should not be privy to it because it is personal data; might be an issue involving Privacy Act - actually for both parties involved. I don't doubt for a second that it happened because this type of thing, and worse, goes on every day in Chicago and not only with this bank but Chase, Bank of America, etc. There is a need for more banking controls, not just for little banks...

I too have high standards and have worked in the past to get elected officials in jail. I'm in Chicago, a hot bed of corruption! The former administration (Daley) would love to see me go away because I exposed his cronies - Carothers (Alderman 29th Ward), Sanchez (Commissioner Streets and Sanitation) to name a couple. They are in a federal pen right now. I go after big fish. New mayor is probably next - lied on his Ethics Statement by not providing all info required. Not enough room here.

You are absolutely right, it's to cover their you-know-what. -- I came to this video to see if the petition was worth backing. I'd like to point out that expressing my doubts doesn't mean that I agree with the bank's actions. In fact I don't DISagree with Occupy Homes, but I have doubts about this case. Expressing my doubts may help OH communicate more clearly so I (others) can understand the issue better. -- I see voting as a duty. I hold those I vote for to high standards.

Agreed with the latter half but that just is their disclaimer to cover their you know what. BillPay is not a convenience! It is simply a necessity for smaller banking institutions that need to offer online payment as part of their "whole" banking package. True that electronic records can be kept and they can also be altered and deleted, usually by the Admin of the server. Are you just as hard nose on signing other petitions for those running for office, assuming you are a registered voter.
