The more mature Ed was never written so self-absorbed, although he could become preachy at times when it came to his friends and family. Young Ed was always being taught some sort of life lesson in the end.

Ed is and was a pompous ass at times! He is so stand-offish with Leslie. I am really loving Leslie in this series of clips! She is honest and fresh!
