Me 'ruddy Yank' who grew up in Europe. Does their name really matter more than their music/message? There was already a band with the name here.
Yaz(oo) had the same problem. Unfortunately, it was a legal matter in both cases, but I believe that the bands were quite thrilled to gain an audience as huge as the one over here. They certainly didn't reject the idea, but toured in the US extensively-Dave Wakeling still does, for one.

Yes we know that but it's for them ruddy YANKS as the Beat have to play under that name over there .
