Mr. President, here's what you do next with the new Congress:

Propose the higher income tax rate at 39.6% for those earning $250k or more.

Include the $5M/35% Estate Tax formula.

For both, add an inflation allowance to prevent bracket creep.

Then make it ALL, including tax cuts for the middle & lower class, PERMANENT.

The rich know they'll make out BETTER 'cuz they can plan around the increases once they know they're fixed.

The Repubs will whine and moan, but they'll go for it, watch.

4:42, the Estate Tax.

KO's spin is a $5M exemption/35% rate makes a lower tax than in '09, which it does.

But remember, there's NO estate tax in 2010, so this is actually an increase.

At the same time, with no action taken, the exemption reverts back to $1M with a 55% tax thereafter.

Thus the forced liquidation of many small businesses and family farms to settle estates. Ugly and unfair.

The new estate tax helps small business.

A good trade, one of the better parts of this deal.

Since, you know, the rich are evil. I'm sure if most of you won 100 million in a lottery you'd give it away, since you wouldn't have felt you earned it (really, picking 6 random numbers should entitle you to more money than a homeless man). Everyone should just make the same no matter what they do, even if they do nothing. It's the only way to be truly fair. Is not the man who has one dollar more than you 'richer' than you?

Woah, he's starting to almost take the same tone w/Obama as he did w/Bush...and, as usual, he's only 100% right. Obama fuckin' sucks! When he said : "He will not only not be reelected he may not even be renominated."

That's when in the eye's of Obama's handlers on Wall Street he stepped over the line. This is why Olbermann was fired. Obama's hiring of Immelt GE chief-owner of MSNBC -and Olbermann's firing is no coincidence.
