you talk about reducing greenhouse gases and reducing our dependence on forigen oil, yet you do NOT set goals for oil companies to research ALT fuels! ethonal is not an improvement! it gives consumers worse fuel economy, cost just slightly less then gas to fill up and still pollutes! you want "change" stopping wasting our tax dolllars by creating laws that only hurt our economy. Pass a bill that creates a fuel cell network throughout the united states, and help our recovering auto industry

Global warming is aimed at bankrupting the west. All the American haters in the UN's IPCC panel want us to pay them trillions of dollars since we are "killing" the planet. Ha!What a joke!

Broken down simply, it's this
On fuel: Let the free market take care of it! If it's economically viable to produce ethanol, they will. If it is also advantageous to raise fuel economy, they will. I will not trade a 7+ passenger 4x4 SUV with 400+ HP for a hybrid Prius that (uncomfortably) carries 5 and has 40 HP. You want to screw OPEC? Drill ANWR. Allow reasonable enviro-laws to build domestic refineries.

Global warming is just false (at least man made), end of that. Ugh.. it's all Bush's fault, what BS. Produce domestic "green" fuel, raise food prices, great. The % of imported oil goes up because the tree huggers won't let us drill. The mid-east has no tree-huggers, significantly cutting production cost.

The signal sent to the world is this: "We will kill our own economy to meet standards that you do not have to recognize. Build widgets as cheaply as you can at any cost, and we will still purchase them, even to our own demise."
