Fly vs. Robot

This is my first attempt at character animation, and my second Bryce animation. Since Bryce is not a character modeling/animation program, I was very limited in what I was able to do. Although I still plan to experiment and create things with Bryce, I'll probably limit myself to using it for simpler projects.

  • This is AWESOME! Truly appreciate this work! Love the perfect editing, love all the details and couldn't find any flaw!

  • @neighborsgoat Thank You!

  • haah this is pretty damn cool tbh :D

    really good job :)

  • Thank You!

  • That's the first time I've ever seen a story told using Bryce. Good job. But you have to tell us how long it took to render. Give us some "making of" info. :)

  • Thank You!

Everything was created in Bryce 5.5

The modeling and animation of 65 different scenes was done over a period of 3 months.

Next, the rendering took an average of one hour per each second of animation, at 30 FPS, with 12,300 individual pictures. The editing was done with Pinnacle 10, which took another week. Chopping up the music and matching it up to the action in the movie was the hardest part of the editing.

It might be a while before I do another one like this.

  • LOL

  • Cool JOB! This looks good and is funny. I SAW Wall-E, and this is just AS good.............;-P Awesome.......

  • lol, I thought this was like no flying in the air. but still great video

  • I created a feature length "live action" movie using Bryce for a surrealistic landscape and Animation:Master for some animated effects. What I had to go through to get it "finished" was exhausting. It's been three years since then, and I am still not ready for the next one!! (Shadow Beings)

  • Thank you!

It took about 410 hours just to render this project.
