@aimlessalchemist You sound like an honest fan, and not like some poser who thinks he is a music critic lol! I know that there's lots of them out there!!!
This is refreshing. :) *high five*

I wonder if these two masterminds of musical notes smoke some kind of non-mainstream drug that only They know of! lol!
I mean come on, where does music come from?>
How can anyone be so dark -_-

@florencelovme Well Nick Cave spent many years obsessed with the Old Testament, addicted to heroin and singing lead in punk bands. Warren Ellis was a school teacher who quit his job to play the violin in post-rock bands. Both of them are now upper middle class family men.
You want dark, read Nick Cave's novels, And The Ass Saw The Angel and the more accessible, and perhaps more disturbing (but funnier) Death Of Bunny Munro.
I suspect Warren Ellis is actually the immortal Rasputin.

@aimlessalchemist hmm, am I gettin a lesson on things I already know? :)
I appreciate it, but I'm old enough to know about their lives.
They pretty much live like businessmen any more. It's great! what I love is that they've not grown to be cynical self-absorbed assholes like others have.
I've read both books.
what I was gonna say is, its a rare thing to have sober rockstars writing stuff like THAT music. My above comment was more of a rhetorical thing, not literal. :)

@florencelovme Sorry to assume. I just think their life arcs are funny.
I agree, it is very strange they aren't miserable people. Cave was the bitterest youth and now he's a friendly, charismatic guy who seems graceful and considerate of other's feelings. Yet his work is so messed up. Rare indeed.

Possibly the most frightening piece of music ever created!

Indeed this song has been outlawed in my house. Great composers, these guys.
