This woman reminds me a lot of my own močiutė, although she speaks English and Lithuanian fluently. I hope to learn the language so that I may pass it on and preserve my Lithuanian roots.

@kristytamo Wow! Nice to have such an extended family:) My great grandmothers died in 1945, 1949, 1963 and 1977, so way before I was born (and I'm your age). Quite a difference;)

At the end of the video I ask her how old she is. And she answers 85.

@kristytamo how come only my grandmother is that old?! :( you lithuanians do get married young!

@asCii88 well, So it happened that some time ago it was common to get married early. So it means my great gran, grandmother and mother gave birth when they were about 20. If I had children the she would be great great grandmother. But I am 26 not married and no kids yet. Breaking the tradition :D :D
Now it is not so common to get married so early.
