You can't just play shouting music you have to feel it, your couting how it's supposed to be played. Watch "shouting in the pocket" that should show you.

LOL man thanks for posting this video,for beginner drummers in the gospel field but thats NOT a good idea to count because you might through your self off lol,its good to use a mertonome while playing "Shout Music",look up these clips for my examples on why beginner drummers shouldnt count but use a metronome "Tye Tribbet Praise Break" and "Byron Cage I Cant Hold It" as for hitting on the ride cymbal a beginner drummer can just use singles or doubles on the ride cymbal,keep a nice pocket.

Geoffry, what EQ and compression did you apply in general?

@q3playing hi, the drums are not eq'ed or compressed in my lesson vid's.. its just the live drums miced up and the raw "mix" (no EQ,or L/R panning etc) is sent straight to the vid camera.
