Tyros 3 - Tijuana Taxi (Herb Alpert)

Tijuana Taxi by Herb Alpert performed on Tyros 3. I re-recorded this tune on T3 because the previous video I produced with the T2 sucked from YouTube compression. The new version features a sampled honk :-) and a marimba solo part and I hope you like it.

Right I'm back that trumpet that your playing in bank 2 is it in the tyros if so which 1 is it.

@itrymybestable: yes, I used a layer of preset voices, the Sweet!Trumpet and PopBrass. Note, that the Trumpet is tweaked a bit, pushed up harmonic content and brightness as well as equing the high freqs to make it really shine. Also use lot of long (ballad) reverb.

Having read Lovold's comment and listening to him playing you just have to shake yr head and smile no way is he as good as you. LMAO. I come back 2 listen to you playing all the time just love it.

Re "live" vs. playback: with an arranger keyboard you use a technology called "Styles" that allows you to generate a playback on the fly using left hand chords to control harmony and buttons to control variations of the musical content. Even if you control this process in real time it is the auto accompaniment doing considerable work. Therefore it does not make sense to claim playing "100% live" on an arranger, unless you turn off auto accomp.

Absolutely brilliant! The best arrangement I've heard. I've been trying to re-create the  "honk" but cannot do it! Any secrets??

2 constructive things? Remove the damn usb stick and get a much larger intern HD that can contain all u need. My first thought was very obvious - It`s all playback? I am a musician and can see that you are actually playing it for real! But people that are smart, but with out musical knowledge are as obvious in there judgement as I just demonstrated. Never connect pc equipment, usb stick, cd players or anything when performing in public! There was much confusion in the playing - all instruments?
