Capitalism is not sustainable by virtue of it's basic premises of productionism, commodification and relentless capital accumulation. 'Sustainable capitalism' is an oxymoron, why would we want to sustain it anyway? I would still desire the end of class society even if it was was 'sustainable'. Some things deserve to die. Other than the title this was a good speech.

have ya'll read "natural capitalism" by Paul Hawken? he lays outs the vision of a sustainable capitalism. there's nothing wrong with the trading of goods and services; the task is to localize it, decentralize it, and use it to strengthen the earth, not deplete it.
