Hey! My dog (podengo portugues pequeno) started doing this, this past week.
The vet thinks it's epilepsy, we think it's shaking head. He examened our dog and he has no infections and his reflextions are good. So no weird things otherwise.
Hope you did visit a vet to make sure your gorgeous dog has no other problems.
As far as I found out, shaking head syndrome is not life threatening. But there is not a lof of info on the net!
I just added our dogs film on youtube, hoping for reactions and tips.

My dog Bear (a collie/chow mix) has done this on and off since he was a puppy. He's very aware, responsive, and normal, while it happens, aside from the head shaking. It looks like Idiopathic Head Tremors, which is non life threatening, but it's good to have a word with your vet just to have the extra piece of mind if you haven't already.

Today the vet made the diagnose brain infection with the dog og my friend, aske your vet about it, her dog is now getting a verry high antibiotic 800mg per day
