Think about it.
This is the biggest scientific experiment mankind have ever attempted. It's 10 years in the making, BILLION upon BILLIONS of dollars shelled into the project, and waves of creepily eager scientists just dying to flip that ON-switch. They don't care about destroying the earth just to gain a little bit of knowledge.
They're obviously going to declare it safe; If they didn't, the machine would undoubtedly be shutdown. They say its safe so their pricey machine doesn't go to waste.

first of all. Scientists aren't this faction of evil knowledge seeking bandits. They have family and children and all the things you enjoy in your life too. Scientists CANT lie, under peer review because, OTHER scientists anonymous and usually always skeptical of anything said in a journal WONT let it be published.
