The Making of the Natural Gas "Barry Dream" TV Commercial

We'd like to share some behind the scenes footage of our latest Natural Gas television commercial, 'Dream'. The ad was filmed on location in a stylish Bondi Beach pad on a very hot summers day.
The 'Dream' TVC is a continuation of the Barry and family story, utilising humour, alongside 'sexy' close ups of Natural Gas flame fires and audio cues highlighting the 'whoomp' of a Natural Gas fire igniting. The ad unfolds as a journey starting from Barry lying on the lounge in front of a roaring Natural Gas log fire. We move into a dream sequence in which we enter an imaginary 'Dad's World' -- a magical place in which middle-aged men remain supremely athletic, wives look ten years younger than they are, Dad jokes are revered and teenage sons all want to hang out with Dad because he's "so cool".
This new 2011 TVC has also been translated into online advertising, print and website formats.
