One of the earliest memories I have is from 1983. It was in the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario. I was listening to the call of the loon while the sun set over Jarvis Lake, near my mother's home town of Madoc. What an eerie sound. I was only 4. What sucks is that I'm from the west coast, so we don't get ANY thunderstorms or loon-calls!
