THAT is the Crux of this matter. These people did MUCH more than just donate a few thousand dollars.

Obama is not admonishoing them for being fat cats. Nor is he admonishing all fat cats. he is going against a system in which financial institutions are so influential and well connected that he is forced to help bankers because the system would collapse without them. To become a CEO of a large corporation or the president you have to be a well connected "fat cat."

I am not concerned about the size or scope of government. I am concerned about what it does. If there is someone who is unqualified to be in the Obama administration and got there because of money, I want you to tell me who it is. Just becuase someone contributes a couple of thousand dollars to a campaign does not mean that they bought a position. I am concerned with evidence of wrongdoing--not just inflammatory statements and hyperbole.

Amost every major industrialized country has some form of government controlled or influenced healthcare. Countries like that in Europe and Asia are all fine. They have been able to keep costs down, and they have longer life spans and quality of life than Americans.

I don't desperately want to believe anything. I don't think that Bush was evil but just stupid. A police state? You really do disrepect to people who actually live in police states. If this were a police state or getting close to one, you would not be able to write such a thing about Obama without being arrested. I want you to give me one respected economist who says that the dollar is about to collapse.

The reality is, government has been expanding into our lives increasingly for over a century, slowing creepy into every crevice. Clinton expanded on Bush 1, Bush 2 expanded on Clinton, and now Obama is expanding on Bush2. The US government has been expanding to the point of unsustainability, Obama is pouring the gasoline on the fire to finish us off.

Obama has done nothing to reverse the massive damage that Bush did. All he has done is expand even further on what Bush did, tenfold. I would be scared of the police state that we would be living in soon, if I wasn't aware of the much scarier fact that the dollar is going to collapse. You so badly want to believe that Obama is the fighter of the little man, rushing in to save us from the evil Bush.
