  • You guys do things the hard way!

  • @garciarosa100 Whats the easy way?....

  • awesome video again, as always, what is the aluminum tape for ? easier release on the fiberglass?

  • Yeah the aluminum tape has a ton or uses but in this case its just used to protect the foam from melting when exposed to the resin. It also holds everything together and gives you a smother surface to work with.

  • Lotta work!! You ought to consider some safety gear, however - eye protection, perhaps a face mask to make sure you're not breathing particles, etc. We want you alive long time - and continuing to do amazing work!

  • Yeah your right we are pretty careful though. We have huge fans and lots of open space. Plus behind the camera are two large garage doors that are open for ventilation sometimes we open all four. The sanding does not produce much dust at all when using the vacuum on the tools.

  • i was wonder what is in that can? that clay looking stuff about 3:40 in the video.

  • What is the process used in creating the hard top? I am working on a sporty cusom myself, but i need a method of creating the shell of the car (body)

    Thanks, Ian

  • Thanks for the comment, The doors are from a Miata but only used as a template. I talk about this in other videos but basically we are using the windshield and side glass from a Miata in order to cut down on cost. The chassis is completely custom.

  • What computer program did you use to do the first rendering and the plywood templates

  • Wicked vid! Keep it coming!

Noticed you're the only one around recently. Whered the helpers go? hah

  • Love it!!its lookin like a car finally!!!
