First you got a magical stand.....now a snare that dances to your hits.....just magical.
-
This might be the best sounding drum kit I have every heard.

That snare is heavenly sounding.

This reminds me of Blindside...

This song is pretty fucking sick. Great job, Orbin!

@Gernads It's the SJC kit belonging to the drummer of the band, I do believe Travis said in the video decription for "Stop Pretending" that it's a 24" kick.

Hey Travis did you finally decide to duck tape your cymbal stand down so they don't run away from you while your playing? lol
-
@shaftninja just a little question I have the same habit of playing hard , really hard ! , do you think that little fact can be better when you mix and master the drums on the recording ¿? or can it be worst for the mix

How big is the bass drum in the background? If I'm not mistaken it's the one you used for material such as the third Cyclamen session - I know you have a strong preference for 20" kicks but it seems more like a 22" (at least to my eyes). Excellent playing as always though Travis.

@shaftninja it wasnt the most compositionally dense song, so that makes sense. i could see needing notes considering the volume of work you do that isnt even related to you. of all the sessions i ended up playing bass on for people i know, i cant say i remember a single song.
You hit hard on this one!

@Aroun88 I hit hard on every one :P If that snare ain't shakin', I might be doin' it wrong.

dont seem to be referencing your notes much. particular reason to memorize this one?

@xsonicassassinx Much like the sessions for The Countdown Starts Now and the first Andy Gruhin, I scribbled down the arrangements of the tunes, ran through 'em a few times on loop in Pro Tools to compose parts (or leave space for improvisation) and tracked when I felt fairly confident. For more intricate stuff or things I've done out of my home studio, the charts are necessary to remember minute details.
