1962 Corvette: Sold! (After 25 Years)

I bought this '62 Roadster (soft and hard tops) in 1983 and immediately set forth on a complete body-off restoration with original parts. I added the stripes 14 years later. The engine is a 327 c.i. (1st year for Corvette) fuel injection with a healthy 360 H.P. and a B&W T-10 4-speed tranny. It has the double "off-road" exhaust system. NO NEED TO SHED TEARS: THE CAR IS IN VERY GOOD HANDS... / J'ai acheté cette voiture en 1983 et entrepris aussitôt une restauration complète en utilisant des pièces originales. J'ai ajouté les «stripes» 14 ans plus tard. Le moteur est un 327 p.c. (1re année pour Corvette) à injection mécanique développant 360 forces, jumelé à une transmission B&W 4 vitesses. Un système «off road» double complète le tout. NUL BESOIN DE VERSER DES LARMES: LA VOITURE EST ENTRE TRÈS BONNES MAINS...

Nice car. Have been around them all my life and my dad actually still has a 62 vette 327/340. One thing that surprised me was that you were able to just slam the body panels and not flinch...I dont slam doors in my new vehicles. But, after all it is/ was yours...thanks for the post, nice vid.

I rebuilt it to be used every day and to travel. I will grant you that it is not like a metal door, but I couln't do the same with the trunk due to the weatherstrip. The important thing is to enjoy the car for what it is, a nice piece of machinery. Thanks for your comment and enjoy!
