FSX / GenX Scenery - The Peak District

Welcome to my latest video, this time using Flight Sim X and the fantastic Generation X scenery add on. Once again, please excuse the stuttering during the video as, using FRAPS to record there is currently no way around this. During the flight I was getting a constant smooth 40fps which was dropping to between 18 & 24 whilst recording. Also the quality is not as good as I see as I only record at half screen size to lighten the load on the graphics.

This flight starts in Sheffield and visits some of my favourite places in Derbyshire, Castleton and Winnats Pass being top of my list. The scenery add on is quite simply, stunning. If you take the time and effort to get your machine tuned you can create some spectacular flights around England & Wales. Every valley, dale and mountain is recreated with unbelievable accuracy resulting in some of the finest flying on a computer outside of the military simulators. This is what we have been waiting 20 years for in the flight sim world!

You need to up the LOD radius mate, fsx will keep changing it to 4.5 though, you need to change it before each flight. Here is a comparison i did, many go to 8.5.

i think this video has had something done to it. iv got the exact add on, pc requirements that iv got are through the roof and tweeked with them endlessly and i cant get it like that quality .....

great vid, but whenever i try to use generation x scenery it doesn't show up? i've installed Vol 2 and 3. any ideas?

Great vid would have been better if you closed the frame rate display and menu bar

awesome vid mate ive got this scenery and a very powerfull system but it looks nothing like yours mines quite blurred any tips 4 me please mate?How can i make mines as clear as yours?
