What Do You Think About ZDTV / TechTV / G4?

http://geeks.pirillo.com/ - Popular opinion suggests that I was fired from TechTV - when that's not quite what happened. Long story short: I'm still around, doing videos and whatnot (and there's no television network dedicated to tech anymore).

Don't just blame Comcast. Also blame Vulcan Ventures, the parent company of the network who willingly put it up for sale. I heard that TechTV was losing alot of money but was starting to do better in 2004, the year that it was sold.

I know that Tech TV can be the internet... but man that means TV is pretty much dead to me. It's rare that I'll turn on the television just knowing that everything I loved is gone. The only actual thing I'll watch on television is probably The Walking Dead but that's it. Nothing I find interesting no more.

ZDTV and Tech TV were more educational in a cool and fun way. Great shows. Now the only thing that involves in tech and video games is Attack of The Show (phony hosts) and Xplay (Advertised more than actually review)

I miss Techtv, I think someday there will be another channel devoted to tech. I don't think that g4 will bring back techtv, they may try but the people who made techtv what it was are all off doing bigger and better things.

And I disagree Chris, by saying that it will never happen again is a fallacy, and the reason why everyone liked techtv/zdtv is because instead of searching around for the information, it was brought to them on their tv. Techtv was something I enjoyed because there was something always on, and I could play it in the background to fall asleep to, or listen to when I did my homework. Techtv was my life, and when it died, a part of me did to. I'm not moving on, it was my life.

I don't know if I can agree with the idea that there will never be another TV channel devoted to tech. Sure, you can get all your tech news/content from the net, but people, almost all of whom have numerous "tech" devices, still like to watch content on their 46" 1080p TV screens. Yes, you can run an HDMI cable to your TV from the computer, but how many people actually do that? I say that there is still a huge demand for tech related content on TV, just waiting for someone to fill the void.

I have to say no, techtv will be back! After people see that no one liles g4, they will bring it back. The only reason g4 is still around is cause the people who worship cops.
