The proverb 'to shed light on something' gets a completely new meaning when Nino Leitner tries to teach himself and other artists for their future a short, but very important lesson made up entirely of light bulbs. Accompanied by music by Andreas Karre.
For the creation of this film, every letter of the alphabet was made up of light bulbs and filmed individually while the bulbs were switched on and off several times. Everything else has been done in post-production on the computer.
The phrases were taken from the German version of Keith Johnstone's book 'Impro; Improvisation and the Theatre'.
This is the text in English:
Artist Lesson
Lesson 1: We have an idea that art is self-expression - which historically is weird.
Lesson 2: An artist who is inspired works without hesitation.
Lesson 3: It's easy to play the role of 'artist', but actually to create something means going against one's education.
End.
