Lady Bird Johnson Home Movies, Home Movie #37. Footage of the Johnsons at Camp David, Campobello and LBJ Ranch in the 1960s. This is a silent, color, outdoor film. Following is a scene by scene description, courtesy of the Audio Visual Archives at LBJ Library.
The first scenes depict LBJ and others at the LBJ Ranch. It opens with ranch hands near a cattle pen. Then we see President Johnson (wearing Stetson and jacket) and A.W. Moursand walking by ranch hands. Then LBJ, an unidentified man, and Joe Califano stand near helicopter.
The next scenes are of Mrs. Johnson and dogs playing in the snow on the White House south lawn in February of 1966. The section opens with Lady Bird, the Beagle, and Blanco on the south lawn of the White House in the snow. Then Lady Bird is with three beagles and Blanco in the snow and then just enjoying the White House lawn alone. She stands by a large tree with the snow falling and then walks around the grounds.

The next section features Lyndon Johnson, Lady Bird Johnson and Lynda Johnson with others at the LBJ Ranch in 1966. (The note inside the film can says "May 7-8"). This section opens with views of trees, bushes, and bluebonnets on or near the ranch, and then there is an aerial view of the Texas Hill Country. A helicopter lands at the ranch airport. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Krim appear, and then LBJ (wearing cap and yellow shirt) greets the Krims. Next we see Lady Bird in a field of bluebonnets, and LBJ and Mathilde Krim walk in the bluebonnets to greet her. The camera pauses on a sign for the Fort Davis National Historic Site. Then Lynda and George Hamilton talk and sun poolside. We see a field of yellow wild flowers. LBJ, A.W. Moursand, Mathilde Krim, Arthur Krim, and unidentified man ride in a car with helicopter in background. Two unidentified men drag a snake near a fence. LBJ holds a dead snake and shows it to Mathilde Krim. Then an unidentified man cuts off the rattles and counts them. Mathilde Krim examines the dead snake. An unidentified man stands near the car. We see various pasture scenes. Cattle graze on ranch land. The camera reveals a field of bluebonnets, and then two beagles near a helicopter. This section ends with an aerial view of the ranch and countryside.
The following scenes feature LBJ and others in boat on Lake LBJ. LBJ wears a yellow shirt and hat and talks with Mathilde Krim in the boat. We see another boat on Lake LBJ, and views from the rear of the boat.
The next section is various scenes in Washington, D.C.? We see flowers blooming in a city park, and then four unidentified men bowling on a lawn near the WH.
