A friend had organised a small group ride and I was invited along. We headed north from Toombul to Redcliffe, returning via Shorncliffe for dinner.

It took me 40 minutes to get to Toombul from my house and this film includes this (in high speed). I arrived a little early so I thought I'd lay down some rubber on the Nudgee Criterium Track - featured in another video of mine - before heading north.

I didn't stay for dinner - I still had a 35km ride to get home and the light was fading fast. I might put the return footage in a subsequent film (but it's mostly just darkness!)

  • gees i enjoyed your video,we live over Redcliffe so i could relate to what i was watching, all very familiar. Excellent !!!!

  • @lynneby1 Thanks! :)

  • I love how you have shown the title reflecting in the body of your Mango. Very cool.

The slowed music and the mud, what a riot....

This was brilliant. Fun and entertaining from beginning to end.

  • @MewFushisDad You're the first to notice that! It took a bit of fiddling in Final Cut Pro to get that effect just right - you might also noticed I added 'noise' so it appears the reflection is vibrating with the body of the Mango :)

Although I wasn't approaching that obstruction at 8x speed, I did come across it quite quickly. What you see in the video is me tackling it at 2x speed - it took a lot of rocking to get over it. I was dreading getting out and ending up with sand everywhere!

  • See Gazelle carrying child at 9:30! Great video!

  • @oratwi I'm sure we'll cross paths one day. :)

  • @nitramluap No, we haven't been that way for a while but we have done Mitchelton to Nudgee beach a couple of times and we do the Shorncliffe to Redcliffe to suttons Beach often. Nice rides but yes, we need more and wider cycle tracks.

  • @jaydenakasha Glad you enjoyed it!

  • @keroiskeir Thanks :)

  • @oratwi Was that you in the trike??

They are great paths out that way... we need more!
