  • Just to mention... We are NOT people without COUNTRY! We are a people without STATE - what makes a decisive difference. Our Country is Лемковына and nothing changed recently (Just been there)

And a little question - what the hell is the meaning of those funny ukrainian galligaskins and women costumes on the stage??? NO-f**king-ONE used to dress like this in the Lemko-land for God Almighty's sake!

  • @scumimpaler You really need to read the other statements that have been made about the meaning of the title before you comment rashly. I'm not being insulting, and I have no interest in starting a youtube comment war as everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the reality is the Lemkos are a forgotten people, no one knows who they are outside of a few communities in central Europe, and the Polish government would rather sweep their history under a rug then talk about it. So whatever.

  • @BohemianIndustries I assume that you know the matter well, so you probably know how grave is problem of Lemko identity nowadays - especially regarding actions and attitude of Ukraine. Lemkos are "forgotten" you say. OK. So the movie will remind some people about Lemkos. OK. Many of people will learn from that movie, what to think. When I see cossack uniforms (WTF!?) related to Lemko culture shown in this catchy way I cannot leave that without reaction. Just my sacred duty. Nothing personal.

  • @scumimpaler Totally fine to react in such a way. It's a subject and topic that many people feel very passionate about. Yes, there are Cossack uniforms in the trailers, but it was at a Lemko festival where that shot was filmed... which underlines part of the problem with the perceived identity of what is a Lemko. The film itself aims for neutrality on the topic, and serves more as an introduction to Lemkos for non-Lemkos.

  • I've had quite a few emails from people inquiring when and where they can purchase a copy of the film. Currently, we are improving the film (fresher edit, enhanced effects, new original music and improved sound quality). Due to this, the film that premiered in January of 2010 is actually going through a bit of an overhaul to improve the film as I see fit, and to also make for a film that all of you can be more pleased with.

I thank you all for your patience, and your patience will be rewarded.

  • The film will be available for purchase if not by Christmas of this year, then by the Spring of next year.

I do apologize for the long delay in making this film available, as it has been seen at some film festivals so far. I am doing everything I can to make sure this film can be had soon.

  • @BohemianIndustries that person youre responding 2 is obviously very ignorant. As a child i was very confused because being born in Poland and being lemko was confusing in itself. ive been living in the US for about 27 yrs now and people here know even less than anywhere else. Its so hard explaning 2 people that dont understand so i take the easy way out and say im Ukrainian. im so looking forward 2 the film, when and where will it be avaiable?

  • @BohemianIndustries Sounds soundly, therefore I hope there are more events than that pro-ukrainian festival to be seen in the movie. Just to preserve neutrality.

  • Ooooh... What a Hollywood-like monumentalism... Being a Lemko I now feel almost like some forgotten pirate from the "Black Pearl", or maybe a minor warrior from the William Wallace's army! :D

  • I want to see it as long as it is not another propaganda film. Historically speaking Ukraine is a country of many nation. I hope it does not divide Ukraine into pro Russian or pro Ukrainian parts again. I am sure Lemkos a big part of Ukrainian history and they have been leaving in that regions for centuries. It is one of most unfamiliar part of my history as I was born in Ukraine.

  • @BohemianIndustries I was in Moscow in 2000 and watched a Russian documentary on Warhol where they stated that Warhol was Russian...What a slap in the face and what rubbish....Russians are most missinformed people in the world perhaps, their media continues to lie….
