@Maxuras if they wore wolf skins they would have been called Verrserkrs i believe. In fact there is evidence for such warriors- the Oden's elite -Ulfhednar (Ulfhednin singular) They had wolf skins and spears. And as for the berserkrs i think ber rly stands for bear even though that u r right that bear is bjorn. So they probably borrowed it from gernman or smth. or maybe it was changed in time. Berserker is an old Norse word. Berr means a bear and as for the -serker part it rly comes from serkr meaning shirt. Berserkers are said to have been wearing bear skins in battle. They also used some mashrooms and herbals to get drugged and enter into berserking rage-feeling no pain and no remorse.
