  • Does anyone know, on the SHM10, when you talk, can you hear yourself through your own speakers? Otherwise I guess you'd be shouting as you can't hear your own vocal levels. Can someone answer this for me? Or can someone send me a SMH10 and I'll run a full daily rider test on it and publish it on here.

  • @gazmp Haven't found an intercom yet that doesn't do that.

  • @gazmp Sorry, I guess I didn't understand your question at first. I think what you're asking is "Does it have an audio feedback loop" and the answer is no. You just speak with normal voice volume to be heard.

Most of the intercoms we've reviewed do not have it. One that we're in the process of reviewing right now does. Some people think having feedback is annoying, while others don't. Personally, I'd rather not have it.

  • Found it! Thanks... For anyone looking, google this:

  • @MacGyverGTP Thanks, I wish we could put URL links in the YouTube responses, but they don't even allow the owner of the video to do that for some reason...

  • So if this is a comparison... What's the verdict on which one is better?

  • @MacGyverGTP The videos illustrate the full webBikeWorld articles only and we have a huge article comparing all of the Bluetooth intercoms, so check it out.

  • @wbwvids I now have an SMH10. Although I don't have another intercom to chat to, I have tested it using a phone and I cannot hear myself in my speakers when I talk, so it looks like this is one intercom that doesn't. It was my favourite feature on the Autocom as you know you could be heard ok and when talking to a pillion you knew the VOX had cut in.

  • so which has louder speakers?

  • I bought a pair a couple weeks ago and also 2 of the earbud headsets. They connected and you could hear the other person fine with one headset but you couldn't hear the other the person from that one. This problem followed one of the radios.

Contacted Sena and they filled out an RMA that I would have to pay the shipping and would have to wait until they got the unit before they would send me a new one. I decided to return them to Amazon and order from Buy.com. Amazon pays for the shipping.

  • @MacGyverGTP thanks! this is exactly what i was trying to find.
