I think, he wasn't actually in the way of the car, so he wasn't actually in danger, he just ran and jumped, and from the side view, it looked like he actually jumped over the car

Seriously. We all know the truth, some would rather attempt to hide the fact though. All that was trying to be achieved was an interesting video.
Notice though if you pause at 0:39, with the car still in shot, and Jory still in the air, the shadows do not match up. Jory's is on the far yellow line, and so should the car's be, but it's NOT. Also if you look closely enough, you never see Jory's shadow over top the white car. Get it out there Paula, everyone knows the truth, admit it to yourself.

It's two videos. The videos are taken of jory on the road first, and then that segment is edited into the video of the car driving by. This is obvious because the shadow of the car is straight down, suggesting it was taken earlier than the video of jory, who jumped using ques and markers later that night. Jory was added into the first video. You can see in 480p that his figure is fuzzy at about 0:37 when paused. He's grafted into the frame and digitally remastered to look like he's over the car.
