Decided to make a new version of this one since I wasn't quite happy with the first. The old version is still up, though, in case anyone would miss it ;)
This is actually very much like how the multi was intended to be from the very beginning, only the last time I had some trouble making it and decided to switch places for some languages. This time around I worked it out and it came out pretty decent :) Now you can choose your favourite!

Thank you bloem01 for the Finnish lyrics, and MertenKauhu for correcting them! ^_^
And yay! I found most of the Icelandic lyrics on the internet, also thanks Forkastanlegt and GalacticChicken for helping me with some of those :)
And once again, I'm Swedish, thus not an expert in Norwegian or Danish, so these lyrics are only what I imagine I hear. Please correct my mistakes!

LYRICS:

Norwegian:
Hver dag i Paris våkner byen til liv
av en sang fra Notre Dame
Og fiskeren fisker, og bakeren baker
til klang fra Notre Dame
Fra de mektige klokkenes torden
til de minste små bjellenes glam

Danish:
Man siger byens hjerte
[Nej, lille fjols!]

Finnish:
[Ylhäällä korkealla synkässä kellotornissa
asuu salaperäinen kellonsoittaja.
Kuka on tämä olento?]
[Kuka?]
[Mikä hän on?]
[Mikä?]
[Miten hän joutui sinne?]
[Miten?]
[Hösh.. Clopin sen kertoo.
Se on tarina,
tarina miehestä ja hirviöstä]

Icelandic:
Dimmt var um nótt
Er nú segir frá
Nærri brú við Notre Dame
[Þaggaðu í því, við sjáumst, suss ljúfurinn!]
Flækingar fjórir þar fleygjinu réru
Og földu við Notre Dame
[Tvö ??? fyrir örugga ferð til Parísar!]
En í gildru! Þeir voru þar ginntir

Swedish:
Och zigenarna såg då med skräck
på en man lika kall
som de klockors metall som nyss ringt
[Domaren Claude Frollo!]

Danish:
Se, de uskyldiges blod flyder frit
lige her ved Notre Dame
[Jeg er skyldfri. Hun stak af, jeg fulgte efter.]
Gør ej din ugerning mere beskidt
lige her ved Notre Dame
[Min samvittighed er ren!]
Du kan lyve for dine soldater
Du kan glemme og skjule din skam

Finnish:
Vaan et saa sinä rauhaa
kun katseellas seuraa sua ain'
Seuraa sua aina Notre Dame
Frollo tunsi piston sen
ja katsoi peloissaan
Sieluaan ja minne vie,
tie kun käy kuolemaan
[Mitä teen nyt?]
[Hoidat lasta. Kasvatat sen omanasi.]
[Mitä?]

Icelandic:
[Á ég að sitja uppi með þennan vanskapn-... Gott og vel. En láttu hann þá búa hjá þér í kirkjunni.]
[Búa hér? Hvar?]
[Hvar sem er..]
Láttu bara loka hann inni
Láttu hann engann sjá
[Í klukkuturninum kannski. Hver veit,
vegir drottinns eru órannskakanlegir.]
Einhverntímann árans gerpið eflaust nýta má

Klockor ring, ring, ring, ring...
Ring för Notre Dame!

The Icelandic lyrics you seem to be missing :)

  • Thank you so much! Takk! ^__^

  • The first Icelandic part goes like this:

    Dimmt var um nótt

    Er nú segir frá

    Nærri brú við Notre Dame...

    Flækingar fjórir þar fleygjinu réru

    Og földu við Notre Dame...

En í gildru! Þeir voru þar ginntir

I'm not sure what he says on the second one, though, so with that I cannot help you. 8/

  • I already have those lyrics xD But it was kind of you ^^

  • hey i'm french, and i love to hear how they pronounce "NOtre-Dame". ^^ I love the finnish and sweddish version !...But still, my favorite is the french one : the action being in Paris, it feels better to hear french in it...same for the Beauty and the Beast which happen in France, with people all saying "Bonjour" in the market =) But that's a personnal point of view ^^

  • Love the swedish finnish!!! <3
