Don't get me wrong, fat old blokes digging in the mire is good to see, saves the NHS paying for them to have obesity treatment. But getting their daughter to dig underneath a cliff of crap is just weird; just loved the way the camera man zoomed in on the tide of muck hanging above her head as she dug (just after a mini landslide!!!). Are any of these people alive today???

people who sweat while digging?
-
Who even wears a sweat band these days lol

Should NOT be digging in there without propping the sides of that hole up, would NEVER put my children in that situation.

This video makes me nervous, that's quite the overhanging ridge you got there. You really got some fine goodies though.

I never knew people did this bottle digging until now. it looks like fun, i remember as a kid, living in Halsall, West Lancs, i always found bottles like this down Halsall Moss, in the fields, and ditchies.

the cods got sick on:o) acid from the earth, you cant ever get rid of that, used to love digging for bottles as a teenager, dug many a tip in the 1990s in greater manchester
Whereabouts is this.....my friends used to dig on Carrington moss and have wonderful collection of Matchstrikers, ashtrays and bottles...they say you should look out for elderberry trees a they are a good sign of victorian tip.
I have an old pop bottle from Hulme and a test tube, also a light bulb from 1930s.
