This is my basic set-up, heres the run down

1 - POV 1.5 Camera W/Control Unit (Imager)
1 - Clip-On Microphone (I got a 9 dollar one from radioshack)
1 - Mount For POV 1.5 (I Used the Star Helmet Mount, C-Clamp Mount With Base is also good but it doesnt come with the POV Kit so its extra. Also the c-clamp and base are 2 different products so yea)

Any Mic will work as long as its a 3.5mm Jack. Thats the only requirement.

  • I know they have a set up for hats, now if ur snowboarding or have something with a strap (goggle strp) you can mount it to that, i forget which mount it is. Its def do able im sure their are ways ill look it up and get back to ya

  • Guess i'm going to have to figure out on my own.

  • the website says you can use the 3 star config ( i use 3 star with velcro) with magnets, now im not exactly sure if thats a good idea, i trust my velcro cause theyres enough of it, but idk about magnets.

  • Hello man. i have this camera, but I don't get a good quality as you do. I'm using every thing on high settings. What is you "auto exposure"? And how do you convert it? I want to make some videos to show to my people in Brazil.

  • it seems more and more these days its harder to find a small portable clip mic at best buy or other stores. i went to radioshack and picked up a cheap one for i think maybe 10 or so bucks. i dont know the brand of the top of my head but like i said its not a major high end mic, more or less a typical store brand product. Thanks, it wasnt too bad actually i did enjoy it.

  • Hey GUN5nake! I was watching your video again and just noticed the microphone that you use. Can you please tell me what kind it is? I'd like to get one to use for my POV 1.5 instead of using the attached microphone.

I hope you had a great time at the Outer Banks! It's really beautiful there!

  • i have not encountered any issues, the velcro does a good job at holding up at 100 mph. i am in the outer banks but when i head home next weekend ill do a speed test to 100 and post it up as well as how it looked afterwards
