This is my third flight with the Blade 120 SR by Horizon Hobby. I will be receiving the 120 SR as a Christmas gift - I got lucky enough to have a sneak peek flight a few times before it was wrapped.

I have never flown a heli before this one and have no simulator experience. The 120 SR is ideal for beginners - it is extremely stable - but is also quick and agile. I look forward to developing flying skills with this aircraft.

  • Kinda interesting that you pick a fix pitched heli as your first. Not to mention you bought a DX6i transmitter. Beginners usually don't start out like this. Nor have I met a beginner who knew that the main blade should be tightened instead of loose. Hey whatever. If you say you are a beginner than so be it. Looks like someone who knows what they are doing to me.

  • @awkwardmagic Pal, I don't know what you're trying to say but these are the facts:

    1) The Spektrum DX6i was my first DSM2 radio

    2) The Blade 120 SR is my first heli

    3) This is my 3rd flight ever with a heli, and prior to this vid, I had no simulator

    4) Knowing what you are doing before you actually do it is not a crime :)

    Happy flying

  • dude, that is not a beginner flight, I am a beginner and I would love to hover like that for 10-20 seconds, you want to see beginner try needing a new canopy afer the first 2 minutes...

  • @marcinkane I will take that as a compliment. Thank you!

I have done my share of crashing with this heli, but I am surprised at just how much this thing can take. The only parts that I have replaced are the landing skids and the canopy, which was not broken, just a bad shade of yellow green. I really want to take this to a gymnasium or outside to do harder maneuvers.

  • i know what you feel, having a awsome heli but you just cant really enjoy it cuz of the space! every time i see theres no wind i run to fly it ourdoors!

  • Love the halo music.

  • nice video

  • This is not a beginner heli. You need a co-axial to start with,

  • i have to fix my baby. I took my blade 120sr to the beach. Next you know it landed in the sand pretty hard and broke the tail end. Cool video had to save this as my favorites. Peace

  • noob

  • I have the same heli but I had to buy mine from grade money I'll say but don't freak out if your tail motor breaks it would just be a wire broke and it only like 10.00 so yeah because that is what happens to mine and it sucked but I got a new motor and it works because without the tail motor then it will spin out of control

  • They're pretty sweet heli's huh? I wouldn't exactly call it a beginner, but I can see your point. I love that they are alot quieter than some heli's. What else have you, or do you fly?
