Obama is incredible. He has such discipline in studying proposals on such a broad range of issues. From the video I can tell that he has a brilliant mind and is able to actively listen to someone and then speak to the often numerous points that have been made.

It is a very refreshing contrast to our former president. I am proud to have an engaged scholar as our president, and I sincerely hope that he sets the standard for our future presidents (both Republican & Democrat).

speaking of Bush...isn't that the same "intel" that sent us into Iraq looking for the weapons of mass destruction....the reason we've spent billions on this war.

republicans hate him for three main reason: 1. he's not in the pocket of the richest americans; he wants all americans to prosper; 2. he's too smart; they haven't once been able to out debate him on the facts; 3. he's black, and they're hatred is obvious.

@SKat036 Sorry - I wasn't trying to compare the two - my bad...... Conservatives don't understand what socialism is. Some past, socialist governments have been corrupt and mistreat the people- but pure socialism is FOR the people's benefit. Capitalism is a good thing too; but, the rich exploit it's opportunities from greed. Jesus was for the people's benefit; and I personnaly, haven't met an honest Christian yet..

@benzhamen you cannot compare Obama to jesus. ever. jesus had all the power he wanted to help the poor. unfortunautly no MAN will ever have that power. benzhamen, you are comparing perfect to unperfect. plus its one way to look at what jesus did as a good person and morals, dont look at it as government ideas, he did not intend it to be that way.

@cybervore Jesus was a socialist. He cared for the poor, the indigent, the sick. Jesus tried to get the Pharisees and Herod and Pilate(government) to consider all citizens and not mistreat them. "Socialist" is not an evil. It can co-exist with Democracy in a Republic. Jesus was not a bad guy - but others made him out to be a demon.
