I would rather get rid of all my posessions if I could then having to go to heaven just to get a trillion dollars (this is just an example) and what not. Jesus is everything. :D

Sure we would!! Heaven is a great place to be. Listen to those who have had NDEs talk about it. Your family, your old friends will be there. No need to eat, you travel by thought. You work at what interests you, not because you need money. (No money in heaven). It is a life you have always dreamed of. No dust and dirt. It is always summertime.. Hell, no!!
It would be a nightmare of eternal niceness and grovelling.
Incidentally - in the Jesus Myth, he is the only one who went to heaven in his physical body! Have you thought about that? The rest of us have to make it through eternity in some kind of nebulous spirit outfit!
So JC is there in the flesh! How weird is that?

Why would any Christian NOT want to be with the one who created him or her, loves him or her so much that He did not send that person to Hell, but instead, left Heaven to live a hard life and die a horrible death to provide eternal life, and when in His presence, spiritually or physically, experiences a love so sweet and undeserved that it is far beyond what we can feel from anyone else?
