Good point, envy is not limited to money. It is almost like we need to overcome the 7 deadly sins. And to do so would mean that every individual would need to change themselves.
Hey I have an idea. Video coming.

Yes but this could take a long time, hundreds or even thousands of years but I doubt it. Imagine we got free energy and don't need money anymore - a utopia. No need to fight. Sheesh, humans. How long before your neighbor prefers your wife or daughter - or your land? How long before killing or rape, just for the fun of it? How far can you push a man of peace? My view is that we must concentrate on ourselves, we can't change others. Slowly, others may follow. In the meantime, render unto Caesar...

Definitely. This can be seen throughout the animal kingdom as well. Which I guess we are a part of. Maybe evolution has something to do with this? Could evolution lead to us moving away from this sort of mentality?

Sorry I meant "the pain they caused". :)

Thanks for letting me air them! I suppose what I'm trying to get at, is that there is something in our makeup that predisposes us to fight. It's probably a bye product of our early history, an evolved behaviour. It makes us protective of possessions, territory & clan. Put somebody in power within the clan and although we've developed good diplomatic skills over the centuries, the ultimate sanction is killing...
I think we cannot stop war until we direct the compulsion and violence against regime leadership, as much as possible. The other thing is to encourage secession or partial secession where-ever possible. Its a little bit hard to think of us in Australia as allowing secession. Because we have a moat to keep others on the other side of.
When it comes to killing tyrants, and the feeling that another tyrant will move into his place, the idea is to keep the second fellow in debilitating fear.

The problem with fear is that nothing good ever comes from it. It just breeds paranoia and pre-emptive strikes. :(
