Hillside Sanctuary is definitely a very wonderful place and Wendy Valentine, the founder is my hero! The staff are also very caring and committed. Thank you Hillside fro caring.

@Zanzibar46 factory farming? I have never heard that term before. (canadian) would that be the equivalent of a feed lot where several are kept in a pen (usualy a 50' x 200') and stand at a trough all day? or would it be more along the lines of a dairy farm where they are in stall with their head in a feader?

Hillside is the BEST Animal Sanctuary in Britain. They very wonderfully took my cow, Rosie, her enormous son Colombe, Daisy, a big neutered male Star that i rescued from a dairy, and Rosie's baby calf. I was unable to look after them due to ill health and a move to the Western Isles.
They are the most caring of people and the condition of their animals is a credit to them. I can't say enough how deserving they are at Hillside of any help given to them. thank you Hillside and bless you. Sallie
