  • @ffaabbuull248 definitely not, of course it will take a lot more hard work and concentration than some of the younger dancers and contortionists but that just means you have to want it more. a contortionists spine is generally a lot thicker than that of an everyday person which means that if you grew up doing contortion you quite obviously would have an advantage but its never too late to start. just look up a local dance studio or gym that teaches it go to open classes and private ones too. :)

  • @GeekstaBaby99 You should do it for atleast a minute; and hold the position, trying to get a little farther down each time. It will definitely make your back more flexible, especially if you do it more than once a day.

  • You could definitely do contortion/flexibility training at 16. I re-started ballet at 16 with no splits, barely touch my toes, no core strength, and 2 years later I can do 2 kinds of splits with 1 close, stretch 7 inches past my feet, and do core work. I only take 2 hrs. a week- if you put in anything more than that into contort you'll be able to do what the kids do pretty quick. I think it even gets a little easier cause you have more strength & growings done/no awkward changes.

  • not a fold but good

  • if you do this everyday for 30sec. will it make your back feliabler???

  • ooh yeah shes amazing!! :)

  • Go and have a look at my vids; theres one of my daughter doing a really tight back fold(tighter than this one) using a mat trolley for a prop:)

  • no, you can train yourself to get that flexibility, it takes a lot of work and serious dedication but it's not possible, Trust me, I know first hand. I see girls come into the dance studio I work at 18-19 and in two or three years can do anything the younger girls can do. But they put a lot of time and effort into it. If you don't absolutely want it, it won't happen, you have to want it, or it will never come. If you don't want it, it's going to be too much to handle.

  • not late. im trying this at 19...and im progressing slowly
