Ok, I've had alot of commets from people going "that's not a fox, that's a bat." Flying Fox are a type of fruit bat. They get called flying foxes because they have cute little foxy faces and they fly. If I see ANY abusive comments here you will be blocked. Yes, this includes swearing.

My mum and I are volunteers in a wildlife rescue and care group. We had the privilege of raising a baby grey-headed flying fox called Koora. He's so cute. He loves mum and hates being separated. In this video he climbed up a curtain and across a ceiling beam to get to her on the other side of the room and he got stuck. He couldn't fly yet. Now he's in the wild, trust me they don't make good pets

  • so why don't they make good pets?

  • @PhillyPugilist its like having a human baby around, a very demanding baby that cries all the time. If you can afford to clean up their poop all the time and spend all day every day paying attention to them, then they're great but when you have one you basiclly have to run your life around it.

  • Where can you buy a flying fox, and how much do they cost? What do they eat? Are they friendly? Do they carry any diseases, such as rabies? I would love to get a flying fox...they look so adorable!

  • @Godskid66 I had to get a bunch of injections before I could handle him. You can't really buy them anywhere, this was an orphan baby my mum and I were raising. He was very friendly to the point where he would cry if she wasn't in the room. It was cute at first but got old really quickly. They're good to raise temperarily if you join a wildlife group like we did but they can be a bit of a handful to have one around all the time. This little guy was released into a colony

  • our world is amazing :)

  • @weweallthewayhome It sure is!

  • Flying Foxes are so amazing!

And besides...they are one of the most important species in Australia, they are our major pollinators and seed disperses for numerous trees and especially nocturnal flowering trees depend on them!

    I LOVE BATS!

  • What retard wouldn't know that Flying Foxes are bats!?

  • @MrMule94 6 feet maybe, but 6 Meters, i don't think so, that would have a wingspan of a small plane! That's almost 20 feet You're talking, a few would need to eat an orchard a night, and it'd be more a flying wolf than fox!

  • what a darling furr baby. :-)

  • sooo cute

  • @rixen10 Oh I wish I could come, unfortunetly I live in Nowra. They are the cutest babies. Koora used to cry if Mum tried to put him down.
