  • The Soviet Union probably didn't care as long as they could play jazz better than the Americans

  • I thought the Soviet Union's cultural bigwigs were totally opposed to jazz. I am amazed that the jazz idiom was so well understood by the band.

  • The trumpet player is blessed and his name is Konstantin Nosov if im not mistaken?He was a top player of that time....

  • Is the trumpet solo improvised or writed?

  • I think when Kapustin composed this tune it was Khrushchev years, the art scene was comparatively relaxed than the Stalinist years.
