Don Ross' "Dracula & Friends Part I", performed in the style of Antoine Dufour. My arrangement includes a 3-string banjo solo with hints of Tommy Gauthier's mandolin in "Breakdown Ross" from Antoine & Tommy's 2009 release, Still Strings.

I'm a big fan of those gents, so i decided to attempt this for my "Leftovers" salad bowl banjo sound sample. The audio was recorded via the camcorder's built-in mic, and all of the editing done in Premier Pro. The guitar is a "Montaya" (which i've never heard of... $175 used somewhere 15 years ago), and the salad bowl banjo is something i made myself. You can see pictures of it, as well as my other home-made instruments and videos, on my website: http//www.jugtones.com

Thanks for watching,
-Scott

  • nice job! how did you mic that?

jajaj.... i thought it was your brother at first!

  • @trumpetfish1 trumpetfish, i didn't really mic it... it was just the video camera's mic. I added a little reverb to it after recording though. Thanks for the comment, -Scott
