  • I did four lawns in the neighborhood since I had the equipment and materials.

Sq ft was about the size of a baseball infield - 8000 sq ft for the four lawns. I used 10 yards of a topsoil compost mix. It cost roughly $280. Renting a lawn aerator cost $84. One 50 lb bag of grass seed (80% rye and 20% bluegrass) cost $55. One 50 lb bag of starter fertilizer (6-20-20) cost $20. Total cost of renovating three front yards and one back yard was about $420.
