The first of two Abigail photo collections. This one depicts her first year and a half, from the traumatic early months in hospital to better days at home. Abby was born with severe brain damage, cerebral palsy and epilepsy. After medical doubts that she might not make her first birthday, Abigail fought on to the age of three and a half. She died peacefully on 8th March 2007. Have a look at our other Abigail videos.

  • I am so sorry to heat that, really I am...I know what it is like. I just want to wish everyone affected by this kind of trauma all the best. Bless you all and what a beautiful tribute. I know someone with baby who had birth injury but baby is tube feeding & has severe CP. What causes all these horrible deaths in such special babies? I feel for you all i love all special people. I cant stop crying OMG!

  • Hi-I'm just sharing my reaction to your story as a Mommy with a special-needs child. My son was born with a grade IV intraventricular hemmorhage on his brain, and we were told not to expect him to be functional. He was a mega-preemie born at 31 weeks. The thing I hate about what our special needs kids deal with is that they are all so different. You never know what to expect. I will share in your sadness but also celebrate the joy she gave you.

  • She was absolutley gawjus!!!
