Too bad Cary Grant wasn't playing the title character. he would've made the best Bond of all time since Fleming had him in mind

Just had a heated discussion on the phone with my mum over who was 'the 1st Bond'.
I take it this is crap? It must be, this first part has over 26,000 hits, with part 2 hitting less than 8,000.
I'll pass.

And also the official Eon Casino royale, which was fairly faithful to the novel after Bond arrives at the casino. Living Daylights fully adapted the short story, but continued beyond it.

I saw this live T.V. show in 1953..Lucky Me....LoL.. People thought I was Crazy when I told that Barry Nelson played the first James Bond ( Not Sean Connery )and that his name was Jimmy Bond for the Live T.V. Showing of Casino Royale . I also told that Casino Royale was the Very 1st. James Bond Show !

@Wodanaz Not Thunderball actually..From Russia with love is similar to the film.

@Wodanaz ..well no it doesn't.The films Dr.No, Thunderball and Goldfinger are quite similar to the books.Sean Connery is a close match to the ian Fleming character and is the only Bond actor who met Fleming.On Her Majesty Secret Service is almost identical to the book.All the other Bond films bare no ressemblence except for M and Moneypenny etc to the books(i've read 10 of them)..In the books he drives a Bentley for example.He only drives the Aston once in Goldfinger.

@Clay3613 It is just really quiet.

There was a pop-up playing music in the background, and I was like, "Why.... are there people singing Justin Bieber's Baby song in a video made in the 50's? Then I paused the video and found the pop-up. XD

@SpartanStig117 Peter Lorre? No.
This is decent as it captures the feel of the novels better than most EoN films. Sadly they changed Bond to American, Peter Lorre is the best Bond villain!

SPECTACULAR, IMPRESSIVE, AMAZING! Thank you very much for sharing with us this film, a real historical register from pop culture from 1950s and from our own time!
