There is a Texas twang, and it exists all over the state, not just in East or West Texas. Lyndon Johnson was from Central Texas, not too many miles from San Antonio. And you could cut his twang with a knife.

@SymphonyBrahms If you're from San Antonio (like me), you have an "accent neutral" midwestern accent. East and west Texas have the "twang." NICE TRY.

(There are basements in the separate library and gift shop buildings, but there is no basement in the original Alamo church building.)
