  • "but it wasn't until the 20th century that the scope magnified to such a bloody scale as to engulf the entire world".

Fucking bullshit. The 7 years war was truly the first "world"-wide war, because the theater of war also reached all colonies.

And if haterz protest that a great deal of the whole world has to be involved, well then remember that Japan, China etc. weren't invilved in WWI.

The crap they teach in schools today...

  • @Griesmayer They call it World War because of the Nations that fought in it. Not the land.

  • such a great game back when people knew how to make campaigns they really had that feel that you were the only thing stopping the German War Machine

  • @CaptMedalofHonor Besides nations from America, Europe and Asia

  • if it wasnt for MOH... COD wouldnt Exist.... yet both games are still awsome!!!

  • @Griesmayer I believe this is a video game, not a school program. Regardless, the term "world war" was meant to categorise all the "important" continents and countries involved. A highly dubious claim, I agree, but history, nevertheless.

  • BEST

  • @Griesmayer I dont think thats how a world war is classified.

    (Shrug)

  • @Zylo587 but not as a major power. less than 1mill soldiers are nothing compared to 8-10million per major power

  • @Griesmayer Japan was in WWI.

  • @CaptMedalofHonor you mean the number of nations? You have just as many nations fighting at the same time, across the globe during the seven years war. And the deathtoll in percent compared to the world population at that time was just as high as WWI's death toll compared to the world population in the 1910s.
